Inventory Coordinator
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Inventory Coordinator/Materials Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, conducting inspections, and ensuring accuracy in our materials tracking systems. This position requires a candidate who is a Permanent Resident or US Citizen due to government contracting requirements.
- Utilize both high-powered and low-power scopes for inspecting materials and inventory items.
- Effectively navigate SAP systems for inventory management, data entry, and reporting.
- Conduct regular inventory checks to maintain accurate records of stock levels, including reconciling discrepancies and performing cycle counts.
- Assemble kits as needed, following detailed instructions and ensuring accuracy in component selection.
- Operate machinery for various assembly and inventory-related tasks, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Perform quality control checks on incoming and outgoing materials, identifying and addressing any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate inventory movements and ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, consumption rates, and other relevant metrics as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the inventory storage areas, optimizing space utilization and accessibility.
- Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in inventory management.
Job Requirements
- Proficiency in operating both high-powered and low-power scopes for inspection purposes.
- Hands-on experience with SAP systems for inventory management and data entry.
- Strong background in inventory management practices and techniques.
- Previous experience in kitting assembly or a related field is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate machinery and tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Detail-oriented with strong numerical aptitude for accurate counting and record-keeping.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be a Permanent Resident or US Citizen to meet government contracting requirements.
- BG/DT Required
- HS Diploma/GED Equivalent Required
