Inventrory Management Associate
Job Description
Location: Ashburn, VA
Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory Management Associate to join a small, collaborative warehouse team in Ashburn, VA. This role supports daily warehouse and inventory operations including receiving, repackaging, shipment tracking, and system documentation. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in both an office and warehouse environment, able to lift materials, and capable of managing multiple tasks while maintaining strong attention to detail.
This position operates in a mixed warehouse and office setting. Responsibilities are performed in a receiving warehouse, a small shared cubicle workspace, and a small open warehouse loading dock area. The role includes standing bench work, packing, and occasional lifting.
- Receive materials from incoming trucks and prepare them for redistribution to various worksites
- Repackage products and materials for shipment
- Verify purchase orders and inventory using company systems
- Track shipments and update inventory records
- Communicate with internal teams and customers via email regarding orders and shipments
- Perform packing and bench work as needed
- Lift and move materials up to 32 lbs
- Maintain organized and accurate inventory records
You will be working as part of a small team of 7 employees, supporting various operational projects and warehouse activities.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years of relevant warehouse experience, OR
- Associate degree or 2 years post-secondary education with 0–2 years of related experience
- Experience working in a warehouse environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 32 lbs
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Experience with ERP or MRP systems
- Experience using inventory control software
- Knowledge of hazardous material shipping regulations
- 49 CFR and IATA certifications (preferred but not required)
- Self-motivated and dependable
- Strong work ethic and integrity
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- Good communication skills, including email correspondence
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Candidates must be able to work effectively in a team-based environment
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
