Job Description
- Diagnostic Testing: Use specialized equipment (multimeters, pressure testers, and OBD-II scanners) to verify the functionality of salvaged parts.
- Fluid Analysis: Perform basic testing on oils, coolants, and transmission fluids to detect metal shavings or contaminants that indicate internal wear.
- Quality Grading: Inspect parts for structural integrity, corrosion, or heat damage, and assign a quality grade based on company standards.
- Data Entry: Log test results and technical specifications into the warehouse management system to ensure accurate online listings.
- Equipment Maintenance: Calibrate and maintain the lab’s testing rigs and diagnostic tools to ensure precision.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of automotive systems (mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic).
- Attention to Detail: Ability to spot hairline fractures or subtle electrical inconsistencies that others might miss.
- Tool Savvy: Experience with hand tools, power tools, and digital diagnostic software.
- Safety Mindset: Strict adherence to protocols for handling hazardous materials (batteries, fluids) and heavy machinery.
