Manufacturing Technician
Job Description
Pay Rate: $22.84 per hour
Work Schedule: 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off); occasional overtime based on business needs
Employment Type: Full-Time
- Assemble electrical, optical, and mechanical components, harnesses, and subassemblies using work instructions, drawings, and required tooling.
- Perform continuity and functional tests on assemblies using test equipment such as ohmmeters and oscilloscopes.
- Assist in evaluating and recommending process improvements and specification changes to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Set up and operate standard and custom test apparatus to verify performance and reliability of production or prototype models.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 0 to 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing, production, or assembly environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and detailed instructions.
- Basic understanding of electronics and mechanical systems.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
- IPC J-STD-001 soldering certification (current or previous).
- Experience working with fiber optic and electrical assemblies.
- Familiarity with testing tools and equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work in a structured, team-oriented environment.
- Work is primarily performed in a production environment.
- Tasks involve the use of hand tools, test equipment, and assembly fixtures.
- Close concentration, manual dexterity, and visual attention are required.
- This is an entry-level role with opportunities for mentorship and growth into more complex technical responsibilities.
