Job Description

Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Machine Operator to join our injection molding team in Binghamton, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating plastic injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment, performing quality checks, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and monitor injection molding machines to produce plastic components according to specifications
  • Load raw materials into hoppers and ensure proper material flow during production
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of molded parts to ensure quality standards are met
  • Document production output, defects, and machine performance on appropriate forms or systems
  • Trim, package, and label finished products according to job requirements
  • Identify and report any mechanical issues or production anomalies to supervisors
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and work instructions
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift
  • Assist with mold changes, machine cleaning, and minor maintenance as required

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or injection molding environment is a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and cross-train on multiple machines

Schedule & Work Environment:
  • Full-time, 8-hour shifts; overtime may be required depending on production needs
  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and materials
