SUPERVISOR - PARTS INSPECTION
Job Summary:
The Parts Inspector Supervisor oversees the inspection team to ensure that all parts meet quality standards and specifications. This role involves leading the inspection process, training staff, and collaborating with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of quality control processes, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision: Lead up to 15 Parts Inspectors.
- Experience handling and resolving conflicts.
- Excellent customer service skills; ability to interact with all levels within the organization and with clients.
- Training: Provide training and mentorship to inspection staff on quality standards, inspection techniques, and safety procedures.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all parts are inspected according to established quality control standards and protocols.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and evaluate the performance of team members, providing feedback and conducting performance reviews.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in inspection processes and implement best practices.
- Reporting: Prepare and present inspection reports to management, highlighting trends, issues, and recommendations for improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production and engineering teams to address quality concerns and facilitate communication.
- Compliance: Ensure that all inspection activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5 years of experience in quality control or inspection, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Microsoft experience – Office 365
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Proficient in using precision measuring tools and quality inspection software.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Problem-solving: Ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift to 35 pounds.
- Manual dexterity for handling small parts and tools.
Work Environment:
- Primarily works in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
- May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
