2nd Shift Assembler
Job Description
- Assemble mechanical, optical, and electrical components per work instructions
- Use RTV, epoxy, and bonding adhesives for part integration
- Perform accurate visual inspections and functional tests throughout the assembly process
- Follow all safety, quality, and cleanliness standards including ESD procedures
- Record and report defects and process data into digital systems
- Use basic hand tools, torque tools, and microscopes during assembly
- Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions on a monitor
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Participate in team meetings, cross-functional collaboration, and ongoing training
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED
- 0 to 3 years of related experience
- Ability to lift 5–10 lbs routinely
- Comfortable using digital systems for tracking and issue logging
- Able to read and follow digital work instructions
- Prior experience with small-part assembly or intricate handwork
- Exposure to electronics, optical, or cleanroom environments
- Experience with microscopes, camera tools, or bonding materials
- Crafting experience (e.g., Legos, jewelry making, modeling)
- Strong communication skills
- Team player with a collaborative mindset
- Problem-solving ability
- Reliable, punctual, and consistent work ethic
- Attention to detail is highly valued
- Seated, repetitive tasks at a bench
- Use of PPE, hairnet, and smock required
- Cleanroom-style conditions with small parts and precision assembly
- Use of microscopes and ESD-protected equipment
