Job Description

Shipping Dispatcher communicates with the Dispatch/Logistics team to monitor the flow of orders scheduled for picking. Coordinates with Receiving department to maintain a consistent and uninterrupted flow of product to pickable locations and determines best course of action for daily picking/shipping processes. Employee uses computer-based warehouse management system to review daily outgoing customer orders and assign tasks to warehouse pickers to ensure orders are picked in the most efficient and accurate way possible. Regular tasks include:

  • Review potential out of stocks or late deliveries to complete orders.
  • Give pickers overview of order, initiate pick process and determine best picking method.
  • Align orders with runs and trucks based on customer service and logistics department determinations.
  • Maintain clear communications with warehouse manager and Dispatch/Logistics team leader on status of runs/orders.

Other tasks may be assigned as needed. All employees of Associated Buyers are expected to establish and maintain respectful working relationships with all employees, vendors, customers and other business visitors to our facility. Regular attendance and punctuality is expected.
