MATERIAL HANDLER Sunday-Wednesday 4:00PM-4:00AM 

 

Job Purpose

Material Handler, using a power jack and hand jack, responsible for keeping 4 die cutting machine with enough material to keep them always running. They need to acquire material from other departments following a set schedule and use an aerator to jog loads and give operators quality sheets to run .

Reporting to the Die Cutting Supervisor, the Aerator-Material handler is responsible for moving material from holding areas to aerator and designated machines for production.

 

Responsibilities and Accountability

  • Ability to follow work instructions
  • Keep machines fed with loads from designated jobs
  • Empty waste bins as needed
  • Aerate product loads for designated machines
  • Remove trash and broken pallets from machines
  • Adhere to all ISO / SQF / HACCP personnel GMP practices, conduct and safety policies.

 

Position Coverage

In the absence of Aerator-Material Handler due to illness, vacation, appointments or injury, The Die Cutting Supervisor will assign an alternate Aerator-Material Handler to perform the above listed position responsibilities.

 

Requirements

  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Ability to move heavy loads with hand or power jacks
  • Ability to follow work instruction
  • Ability to drive a forklift and operate a power jack
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) or will train the right person.
