ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Maintains coolant, oil, and filters on designated machines and compressors

• Maintains water dump sinks and waste oil area in each building

• Maintains fiber wheels, belt sanders, and vacuums as needed

• Removal of chips from designated machines into hoppers and/or barrels, maintaining a neat, organized, clean hopper area around equipment

• Operate forklift to unload all hoppers into designated chip removal area

• Maintains wash sinks, including replacing paper towels and cleaners as needed

• Maintains organization and cleanliness of coolant and oil storage areas

• Empty all trash barrels, recycle bins and replace liners throughout facility three times per week

• Assist maintenance with coolant changes and tumbler cleaning as needed

• Report any maintenance deficiencies to supervisor

• May perform other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to maintain necessary work flow, possess a high degree of attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and use simple math

• Ability to meet or exceed the company’s attendance and punctually standards

• Ability to be self-directed, requiring little or no supervision

• Ability to establish effective working relationships with other team members

• Forklift experience a plus

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or GED preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES REQUIRED:

• Must be able to become OSHA Forklift certified and maintain certification
