Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (No Weekends)
Starting at $18.00 per hour and up, depending on experience.
Training: Travel for training may be required. The company will provide paid food, hotel accommodation, and gas mileage for any required travel. Initial on-the-job training will take place in Spartanburg, SC. Candidates will be required to stay in Spartanburg Mondays through Fridays for the duration of the training, which may last from 2 weeks depending on the individual's learning pace.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks on various machines and equipment according to established schedules and procedures. This may include lubricating, cleaning, inspecting, and adjusting components.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on machinery.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Perform tests and adjustments to ensure machines operate efficiently and according to specifications after repairs or maintenance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (typically 2+ years) as a machine maintenance technician, industrial mechanic, or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Must possess good manual and mechanical skills.
- Solid understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints and schematics.
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Technical/mechanical background in card clothing preferred.
- Work experience in textile card rooms is a plus.
Physical Requirements (Updated):
- Must physically be able to stand for extended periods of time with some bending and stooping required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, and heavier objects with the assistance of lifting devices or other personnel.
- Manual dexterity and good eye-hand coordination.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and climb.
- Visual acuity to inspect machinery and read technical documents.
- Ability to work in potentially noisy environments and wear appropriate hearing protection.
