Job Description

  • Ensure product specification requirements are maintained (paper grade, sheet count, perf length, log diameters, core size, ) and finished log/roll quality levels are acceptable.
  • Ensure proper operational procedures are adhered to concerning rewinder and logsaw Follow established machine operating guidelines.
  • Ensure work habits minimize waste
  • Inform Lead Handpacker and Team Manager of any significant product quality
  • Inform maintenance personnel and Team Manager of any operational deficiencies on
  • Ensure good housekeeping practices are performed
  • Ensure complete and accurate documentation of production reporting and shift check
  • Possess the ability to troubleshoot/identify minor operational issues and make appropriate machine
  • Possess the ability to assist/complete rewinder equipment
  • Possess the ability to operate downstream equipment (logsaw, conveyors, tape machine, etc) and assist with those equipment changeovers as
  • Inform Team Manager of all unsafe work
  • Ensure professional communication with all other team members and
  • Ensure proper and complete communication with off-going and on-coming Rewinder Operator at shift
  • Possess the ability and desire to be cross-trained for additional leadership responsibilities as
  • Perform any other reasonable tasks assigned by Team

 

Job Requirements

  • Must be flexible and responsive to the needs of the production line/department.
  • Must be attentive to quality concerns and product-flow
  • Must possess a sense of
  • Regular, consistent attendance is
  • Many areas are loud, at times cold and at times hot and humid, with multiple slipping, tripping and falling hazards, as well as in-running nips and suspended loads.
  • Must be able to work 8 to 12 hour
  • Requires repetitive lifting, bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, long periods of standing and
  • Must be able to safely lift loads repetitively.
  • Lift-truck/Clamp-truck certification
  • Personal Protective Equipment may have to be worn while performing
