Machine Operator
Job Description
- Set up, operate, and monitor injection molding machines to produce plastic components according to specifications
- Load raw materials into hoppers and ensure proper material flow during production
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of molded parts to ensure quality standards are met
- Document production output, defects, and machine performance on appropriate forms or systems
- Trim, package, and label finished products according to job requirements
- Identify and report any mechanical issues or production anomalies to supervisors
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and work instructions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift
- Assist with mold changes, machine cleaning, and minor maintenance as required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or injection molding environment is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new tasks and cross-train on multiple machines
- Full-time, 8-hour shifts; overtime may be required depending on production needs
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and materials
