Machine Operator
Job Description
The Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment to ensure smooth production flow. Under the direction of the Manufacturing Supervisor, the Machine Operator will operate equipment according to documented procedures, maintain a clean and orderly work area, and ensure compliance with all safety and operational protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Operation: Monitor the functions of manufacturing equipment and operate it per documented procedures, ensuring all activities are logged accurately in operational logbooks.
- Problem Reporting: Provide detailed descriptions of equipment failures to technicians when required, and report any unsolved problems encountered during the workday to a supervisor or management.
- Material Handling: Support material handling activities as needed, ensuring proper segregation of materials and adherence to receiving numbers and lot control protocols.
- Compliance and Safety: Adhere to and demonstrate compliance with all company and departmental standard operating procedures, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), device history record maintenance, hazard communication, and safety rules. Safety glasses, hair nets, and gloves will be provided; however, the candidate must provide steel or composite shoes/boots.
- Quality Assurance: Accept full accountability for product quality by observing the quality of raw and finished goods before, during, and after production, following instructions from the supervisor.
- Record Keeping: Maintain complete and accurate records of work-in-process, component inventories, and all relevant documentation.
- Continuous Learning: Demonstrate steady progress in learning all equipment and jobs within the assigned manufacturing area.
- Work Area Maintenance: Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand to package and label products, lift and move products weighing up to 20 pounds, and adhere to shift start times with excellent attendance and punctuality.
Other Information:
- The candidate will not be responsible for running or operating the entire production line but will ensure the smooth operation of the equipment they are assigned to.
- No prior manufacturing experience is required; training will be provided.
- The position does not require the use of forklifts or power jacks and involves supporting a closed production line with no physical contact with hazardous materials or chemicals.

- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 20 pounds.
