Job Description

HW Staffing is partnering with a great manufacturing company. The Machine Operator will produce comforters, pillows, featherbeds, and pet beds using filling and quilting machines, package products for shipment. This position will also produce the highest quality products while maintaining required productivity levels. They will maintain machines and work areas in a tidy and clean manner and follow through with all safety regulations as well.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide insight into production process improvements.
  • Operate pillow and comforter filling machines.
  • Operate quilting machines.
  • Sew closures and package down and synthetic comforters, pillows and featherbeds.
  • Maintain a modified total of at least 41 points on the Manufacturing Team Employee Wage Scale.
  • Maintain quality control at all levels.
  • Promote a harmonious work environment.
  • Maintain safe working practices.
  • Contribute to team meetings.
  • Assist with receipt of raw materials, as required.

Shift: 5:30 am - 4pm Monday- Thursday

$500 sign on bonus after 4 weeks of employment

  • Ability to pull, push and lift 40+ pounds.
  • Ability to stand/walk around machine for long periods
  • Basic computer skills, Math skills, and sewing experience required.
  • LEAN understanding/experience is a plus.
