Job Description
Job Title: Director of Maintenance Department: Maintenance
Reports to: Vice President of Operations FLSA Status: Exempt
Work Schedule: No Set Schedule Job Status: Full Time
Job Summary: The Director of Maintenance oversees and leads maintenance procedures and actions
such as repairs and upkeep operations of our facilities and landscapes. They Director of Maintenance is
well-versed in all maintenance processes and health and safety regulations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Directs the maintenance programs and processes within the plants to ensure timely and effective
production
• Coordinates with other management staff to ensure efficiency in preventative maintenance and
new equipment installation
• Oversees facilities design and inspection, equipment repair and installation
• Creating and implementing policies to optimize the operations of the maintenance department
• Supervise the maintenance personnel, including scheduling shifts, assigning tasks, directing work,
and conducting performance assessments
• Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues
• Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities
• Allocate workload and supervise & upkeep staff for completion of tasks
• Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
• Manage relationships with contractors and service providers
• Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities
• Responsible form tracking expenses, reporting progress, and assigning schedules
• Ensure health and safety policies and compiled with

Required Skills/Abilities:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to conduct training
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Solid understanding of plumbing and electrical systems as well as carpentry and other crafts
• Knowledge and understanding of GMPs, HACCP, Allergen Awareness and Quality/Hold procedures
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Five years of maintenance management role
• Proven experience as maintenance manager or other managerial role
• Experience in planning maintenance operations
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, welding, and whole-facility maintenance.
Physical Requirements /Work Environment:
• Required to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. – More than 50 pounds requires a team lift
• May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling
• Due to the open environment to the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and
temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold
• Available to work extended hours
• Traveling from facility to facility
