Job Summary:

The primary function of the Maintenance Supervisor is to organize, monitor and supervise facility,  equipment and maintenance operations.  The Maintenance Supervisor will perform a variety of technical tasks relative to bakery equipment and will provide technical assistance to the maintenance associates.  The Maintenance Supervisor reports to the General Manager. 

This position requires the physical ability and mobility to walk, stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.  Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor environment, and there will be exposure to noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes and all types of temperature conditions.  Ideal employees will possess a motivation to learn, a willingness to work hard, and a strong attendance record. 

What We Need From You:

  1. Sound technical knowledge of all machines and bakery equipment used in the facility.
  2. Ability to identify problems with the electronic systems and carry out their maintenance.
  3. Possession of licensing and/or certificates.
  4. A graduate in a technical field, engineering, or related field with coursework in business management.
  5. 10 years of maintenance experience including supervisory experience.
  6. Basic knowledge of heating, refrigeration, welding, plumbing and other electrical and carpentry work.
  7. Sound knowledge of office procedures, methods, and equipment, including computer and software programs (Microsoft Office, CAMS, AutoCAD, etc).
  8. Knowledge of pertinent local, state and federal laws, ordinances, codes and rules.
  9. Ability to read and understand construction drawings, plans and specifications.
  10. Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results.
  11. Organize, implement and direct maintenance operations and activities.
  12. Supervise, train and evaluate assigned staff.
  13. Perform the most complex maintenance duties and operate rental equipment.
  14. Ability to operate assigned equipment and to verbally communicate to exchange information and vision and hearing within the normal range.
