Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Schedule: Full-Time, flexible hours with required overtime
- Perform daily equipment maintenance to ensure efficient production operations.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance inspections.
- Complete safety compliance inspections and maintain records for production equipment.
- Train personnel on equipment start-up procedures and machine operations.
- Maintain and manage spare parts inventory.
- Source and purchase components for repairs and preventative maintenance needs.
- Diagnose equipment failures, determine root cause, and complete repairs or adjustments.
- Identify opportunities for automation or new technologies to reduce manufacturing costs.
- Maintain facility buildings and grounds to company standards.
- Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on equipment and facilities.
- Responsible for all aspects of facilities maintenance.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, PLCs, HVAC, carpentry, welding, machining, and fabrication.
- Strong proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
- Heat-treating experience preferred.
- Constant standing, walking, and use of hands/fingers.
- Frequent talking and hearing.
- Occasional sitting, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- Frequent lifting up to 30 lbs; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs (up to 70 lbs per minimum requirements).
- Requires good vision: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to perform repetitive arm and hand movements.
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to fumes, odors, dust, chemicals, airborne particles, grease, oil, dirt, and cramped spaces.
- Occasional risk of electrical shock.
- Moderate to loud noise levels.
- Higher temperatures, particularly in summer months.
- 3–5 years of experience, ideally in heat treating, manufacturing, or metalworking.
- Flexible availability for different shifts and occasional weekends.
- Ability to respond to emergency repair calls at any time.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work in high-temperature environments.
