Job Description

Job Title: Maintenance Technician Department: Maintenance
Reports to: Director of Maintenance FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Work Schedule: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Job Status: Full Time
Monday - Friday (weekends as needed)
Job Summary: The General Maintenance Worker will perform general maintenance and repairs for 
assigned equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, 
and other building systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Perform planned PM’s, maintenance inspections/repairs as required
• Perform emergency repairs and adjustments while line is running in a timely and efficient 
manner
• Maintain building facilities 
• Maintain upkeep of outside perimeter of facility during winter months to ensure walkways and 
paths are clear of snow and ice
• Ability to troubleshoot routine problems in a timely fashion 
• Conducts periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to 
standard
• Performs general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, and carpentry
• Pallet Jack / Forklift general maintenance 
• Clean and maintain work area
• Other duties as assigned 
Required Skills/Abilities: 
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
• Strong organizational and follow up skills
• Experience performing routine maintenance
• Very good communication and interpersonal skills
• Manage multiple tasks effectively 
• Knowledge and understanding of GMPs, HACCP, Allergen Awareness and Quality/Hold procedures
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven maintenance experience
Physical Requirements /Work Environment:
• Required to stand for long periods of time 
• May involve some repetitive motions
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. – More than 50 pounds requires a team lift
• Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery
• Must be able to visually inspect machines
• May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling 
• Due to the open environment to the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and 
temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold
• Available to work extended hours
