Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manual Grinder to join our team. Temp to hire! 

1st shift Monday – Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm. Possible Over time required.

 

Position Overview: The Manual Grinder will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process, ensuring the quality and precision of our metal parts. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong manual dexterity, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship.

  • Perform grinding, deburring, and finishing operations on precision metal parts.
  • Use hand tools, benchtop grinders, and other equipment to achieve desired surface finishes and dimensional accuracy.
  • Inspect and measure parts to ensure they meet specified tolerances and quality standards.
  • Identify and correct minor defects or imperfections in metal parts.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient workflow and meet production deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Document work processes and results as required.
  • Work with verbal and visual instructions 

Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in manual grinding, preferably in the precision sheet metal industry.
  • Strong understanding of metalworking techniques and materials.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of work.
