Manufacturing Tech/Precision Cleaning MA
Job Description
Pay Rate: $35–$40/hour
Shift: 2nd Shift | 2:00 PM – 11:30 PM (9/80 Schedule)
Overtime: Available on off Fridays and weekends
Training: This position begins on 1st shift until certification in the precision cleaning process is completed before transitioning to the permanent 2nd shift schedule.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain manufacturing equipment used in Silicon Carbide ceramic production
- Perform precision cleaning of components to meet stringent aerospace cleanliness standards
- Follow engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical documentation to complete manufacturing and cleaning processes
- Conduct particulate count and Non-Volatile Residue (NVR) testing to verify components meet 100A/2 cleanliness requirements
- Inspect parts and document production, testing, and cleaning results accurately
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime and maintain quality
- Handle materials and components weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Work independently in an ISO 5 (Class 100) cleanroom while wearing full cleanroom PPE (bunny suit)
- Safely work with approved cleaning solvents, including isopropyl alcohol (IPA)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including production areas that may be dusty
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to resolve issues and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Cross-train in multiple manufacturing areas as production needs change
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 4+ years of related manufacturing experience or
- Associate degree (or equivalent post-secondary education) with 0–2 years of related experience
- Experience following detailed work instructions and engineering documentation
- Ability to read drawings, blueprints, or schematics
- Comfortable working in both cleanroom and production workshop environments
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Adaptable to changing production priorities and schedules
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience working in an ISO 5/Class 100 cleanroom
- Precision cleaning or technical cleanliness experience
- Experience with manufacturing, aerospace, semiconductor, ceramics, or other high-precision production environments
- Familiarity with inspection, measurement, or quality testing processes
- Must be a U.S. Person due to export control regulations
- Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance
- Must be able to work onsite in Wilmington, MA
- Must be able to read, understand, and follow detailed written instructions
- Comfortable working in environments with dust (using required PPE) and approved cleaning solvents
