Receiving Verifies, inspects and records receipt of incoming material to ensure timely delivery to designated areas. Visually checks all incoming material to verify quantity and for any damage to package or contents. Compares accompanying paperwork against contents and original purchasing records to confirm that the proper items have been received and inputs verification of same. Documents missing or damaged parts and completes necessary paperwork. Adheres to company guidelines regarding the proper handling of classified and/or hazardous materials. Routes packages according to inspection code. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required. Inventory Management Receives, maintains, kits and, delivers inventory materials and supplies. Ensures that materials are properly packaged or repackaged per required special handling specifications, when necessary, in electrostatic bags or as otherwise specified. Labels and stocks in specified bins or fills back-order requirements, both for the assembly floor or kits in process. Delivers completed assembly kits or point of use (POU) material to designated areas and if required, releases to work-in-process (WIP). Performs cycle count audits and physical inventories. Ensures that all required materials are properly identified with safety information and handling labels in conformance with Company and OSHA guidelines. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required. Shipping Packages standard and non-standard products for shipment in accordance with government, customer and commercial requirements. Interprets packaging data sheets, military specification guidelines and verbal instruction to determine the most appropriate packaging/packing methods necessary to ensure damage free shipment to customer. Counts parts and compares to matching paperwork to ensure that the right number of parts are on hand, are correctly identified and visually inspects for any damage. Routes shipments per the corporate Freight Routing Guide Maintains compliance with Export and ITAR requirements for international shipments Generates routing requests, Government Bills of Lading, commercial bills of lading, airbills, bar coded labels and all transportation related documents as required. Ensures the timely processing of company documents and maintains accurate shipping department records, files, and courier documents as required. Inspects packages for internal and external labeling and matches to shiping documents. Selects mode of transportation to meet required delivery dates. Loads or assists carriers with loading and securing of freight. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
