Job Description

Job Title: Material Handler
Location: Binghamton, NY
Pay Rate: $15 – $16 per hour
Reports To: Foreman and Assistant Foreman
Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Material Handler to support production operations by ensuring molding press hoppers are filled with the correct materials and all materials are properly handled, tracked, and maintained. The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while supporting overall production flow.
General Requirements:
  • Ability to work 8 hours per day / 5 days per week
  • Dependable transportation
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure molding press hoppers are filled with the correct material at all times; check each hopper at least once per hour.
  • Accurately complete records and forms as required.
  • Mix regrind materials with virgin material whenever possible.
  • Return unused material from ovens and presses to inventory, ensuring it is sealed and properly labeled.
  • Empty and clean hoppers when jobs are completed; clean up any spilled material and return it to stock.
  • Assist with making cartons for production as time permits.
  • Ensure all barrels and hoppers are filled and properly labeled at the end of each shift, ready for the next day’s production.
  • Break down and neatly stack all empty Gaylords on skids in the shipping area.
Work Environment:
  • Fast-paced manufacturing/production setting
  • Requires physical activity including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods
