Material Handler
Job Description
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments of products and materials.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to company standards.
- Load and unload trucks using manual or powered equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts).
- Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies.
- Organize and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized warehouse.
- Assist with cycle counts, stock checks, and regular inventory audits.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse, logistics, or material handling experience is an advantage.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to [weight limit, e.g., 50 lbs]).
- Basic knowledge of inventory systems and warehouse practices.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime when needed.
- Forklift certification (preferred but not always required).
