Job Description

Our client, a manufacturer of polypropylene-based reinforced resins, is hiring a Machine Operator to work at their Woonsocket, RI, facility.

 

Pay and Schedule: The position pays $16.50 per hour, working a 12-hour shift from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

 

As a Machine Operator, you will oversee the set-up and operation of equipment according to factory guidelines.  The Machine Operator monitors material use and labeling, oversees material to minimize waste, and processes scrap material for recycling. In addition, the Machine Operator will assist with quality-control issues and be accountable for results.

 

Job Requirements

Requirements:  

  • Demonstrated mechanical knowledge; previous experience in production or manufacturing preferred
  • Understands basic mathematical concepts and computer software
  • Ability to manage multiple complicated priorities and tasks
  • Effective communication skills
  • Moves items weighing up to 50 pounds 
  • Forklift driving experience preferred but not required
