Medical Assembler
Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Medical Assembler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell. Under close supervision, you will perform a combination of assembly, repair, and test operations on pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related medical device assemblies. Your primary duties will include following specified and standardized procedures, ensuring accurate documentation of cell operations, communicating effectively with manufacturing management, maintaining a positive attitude when interacting with internal and external customers, adhering to safety guidelines, participating in continuous improvement/quality initiatives, and maintaining accurate records to ensure traceability and address quality issues.
- Perform assembly, repair, and test operations on medical devices according to specified procedures.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of job documentation for cell operations and functions.
- Communicate ideas, problems, and solutions to all levels of manufacturing management in both written and oral form.
- Maintain a positive attitude when interacting with internal and external customers.
- Follow safety guidelines and utilize appropriate safety devices during all operations.
- Participate in continuous improvement/quality initiatives to enhance production processes and achieve quality and profitability metrics.
- Maintain accurate records to ensure traceability and address quality issues.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Support individual and cell performance goals set by Manufacturing Supervisor/Manager.
- Support Divisional initiatives and Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements
- BG/DT Required
- High school degree or equivalent required.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures.
- Understanding of and ability to utilize electronic data collection systems and computer software packages.
- Ability to prioritize work and determine sequencing and timing of different jobs.
- Ability to handle and maneuver small components and parts.
- Ability to make critical decisions and judgments with minimal supervision.
