Medical Device Packer
Job Description
- Carefully pack medical device parts and components using appropriate materials and techniques to prevent damage during shipping.
- Build and assemble basic wooden crates and protective enclosures as needed for fragile or large equipment (training provided).
- Apply labels, documentation, and packing slips according to work orders and shipping requirements.
- Accurately use tape, foam, bubble wrap, and other protective materials to secure products.
- Conduct basic inventory control tasks, such as labeling items, verifying stock numbers, and reporting discrepancies.
- Work closely with shipping, warehouse, and production teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety protocols and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with incoming and outgoing shipments as required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience in packaging, shipping, or warehouse environments preferred.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and ability to perform entry-level crate assembly.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of inventory systems is a plus.
- Team player with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
