Mill Operator Job Description

 

Overview of Job Responsibilities

  • Cut jobs based off cut lists provided by supervisor
  • Maintain quality through monitoring of work and materials
  • Adhere to safety requirements of position
  • Maintain your positions element of a digital job board
  • Maintain equipment according to maintenance schedule (Change blades,grease,clean,etc)
  • When necessary, help in other areas in which you are trained

 

Objectives & Strategies

  • Report and work directly with Production Supervisor
  • Do quality work for effective manufacturing practices
  • Increase production through efficiencies

 

Qualifications for Mill Operator

 

  • Experience with basic carpentry skills (tape measure)
  • Ability to get to and from work on time everyday
  • Knowledge and experience working with saws preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to self-pace based on daily demands
