Plastics Technical Lead

Pay Rate: $25-30

Shift: 10:45pm – 6:45am

 

Job Objective: 

Ability to operate and be certified on a variety of tasks, including operating manufacturing equipment, following established Standard Operating Procedures.  Maintain Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost standards.  Ability to perform varying assignments daily.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Trained to perform all functions of HTH Operator Level 3, plus the below tasks in first 24 months.
  • Product quality validation including all first piece inspections.
  • Communicate detailed shift notes.
  • Verify all calibrations on test equipment.
  • Perform complete incident reporting.
  • Perform maintenance work orders.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized department.
  • Create CI for NCM.
  • Review and report on NCM.
  • Set ratios for hoppers.
  • Lead 5s activities aimed at improving organization, productivity, safety, and employee satisfaction in the workplace.
  • Perform Inventory Requisitions.
  • Perform Oracle repetitive product move and Standard Product move.
  • Perform all Dryer, Silo, Blender, Hydraulic, Slitter, Turret Winder Web Guider and Control Panel Functions.
  • Perform all set points for Chiller and Thermolator.
  • Process Validation.
  • Documentation Revision/Submission.
  • Assist with Customer Complaint Resolution.
  • Train new employees (safety, equipment, materials, quality, packaging, power lifts, procedures, processes, etc.).
  • Accountable for personal goals and departmental metrics. 
  • Ability to perform varying assignments daily.
  • Comply with Quality Standard ISO/TS 16949, Environmental Standard ISO 14001, and BRC/IOP.
  • Technical expert and liaison responsible for coordination with staff in other departments.
  • Must work well with others in a team environment.
  • Full time presence required.
  • Ability to work overtime as required or requested, including extended shifts and weekends.
  • Ability and willingness to be cross trained in any other functions as required or requested.
  • Additional tasks as assigned.

 

Job Qualifications: 

  • Proven strong technical ability
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, teamwork and problem solving skills – ability to coordinate resources, motivate staff and successfully complete tasks
  • Ability to self-pace and lead work cells
  • High School Diploma and/or GED required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team, and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to read, comprehends, follows, and recommend improvements to working instructions and procedures.
  • First Aid Certified
  • Computer literacy Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
