Plating Associate – 2nd Shift
Location: Lawrence, MA
Pay Rate: $18–$19 per hour
Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM, Monday–Friday
Position Summary
The Plating Associate is responsible for processing parts through chemical plating tanks in accordance with specifications, work orders, and company procedures. This role requires strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Functions
  • Process parts through plating tanks according to specifications, work orders, and process requirements
  • Calculate and monitor appropriate processing times
  • Remove parts from tanks after specified durations, rinse parts, and immerse them in required baths prior to finishing
  • Complete all required paperwork in accordance with company and processing guidelines
  • Oversee and assist line assistants to optimize workflow and throughput
  • Evaluate, document, and log preventative maintenance on the processing line
  • Ensure hazardous waste materials are handled and disposed of properly and in compliance with regulations
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills & Abilities
Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Experience:
  • 1+ year of experience in chemical processing preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Near and distance vision
  • Ability to hear within normal audio range
  • Sense of touch and manual dexterity
  • Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing/shop environment
  • Exposure to elevated temperatures, occasionally exceeding 100°F
