Grinder / Finisher – All Shifts Available
? Fairfield, OH  ? $18/hour  ? Monday–Friday
1st shift 5am-3:30pm (50 hours per week)
2nd shift 3:30pm-2am (50 hours per week)
3rd shift 7pm-5am (50 hours per week)

Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Grinder / Finisher to join our manufacturing team in Fairfield, OH. In this role, you will be responsible for grinding, deburring, and polishing metal components to ensure high-quality finishes that meet customer specifications. This position plays a critical role in maintaining product quality and supporting efficient fabrication operations.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate handheld grinders, sanders, and other power tools to remove excess material and smooth surfaces 
  • Perform finishing work on welded assemblies and raw metal parts 
  • Inspect parts to ensure they meet customer standards and specifications 
  • Identify surface defects and take corrective action as needed 
  • Safely transport materials and parts between workstations and departments 
  • Assist with staging and organizing production materials 
  • Perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment 
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment 
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements 
  • Learn and assist with additional fabrication tasks such as operating rivet guns, stud guns, and wide-belt sanders 
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in grinding, fabrication, or a manufacturing environment preferred 
  • Familiarity with hand tools and power tools required 
  • Skills & Abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality 
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity 
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team 
  • Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks 
  • Capability to lift and move heavy materials 
  • Safety Commitment
  • Consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE) 
  • Strong adherence to workplace safety standards
