Job Title: Prep Cook/Line Cook

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Prep Cook/Line Cook to join our corporate dining team, specializing in breakfast and lunch service. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, from 6:00am to 2:30pm, with a required 30-minute break. We are also open to hiring a temporary cook until the position is permanently filled or until the temp and our operation determine it’s a good fit. Additionally, there are 3-4 instances per year where the client will host later parties, extending the workday until 7 or 8pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch items according to standardized recipes and instructions.
• Line Cooking: Work efficiently on the line during service hours, ensuring timely and quality food delivery.
• Knife Skills: Demonstrate proficiency in basic knife cuts, proper handling, and the use of a cut glove while working with knives.
• Safety and Hygiene: Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and guests, ensuring their satisfaction with the food and service.
• Event Support: Occasionally support later events, ensuring food is prepared and served to meet client expectations.

• Experience: Previous short order cooking experience is required.
• Training: All employees, whether temp or full-time, must complete a quick knife skills training and test.
• Certification: ServSafe Food Handlers’ card is preferred but not required. We can arrange training and testing for certification.
• Shoes: Slip-resistant shoes are required. We provide slip-on slip-resistant soles for those without proper footwear.

Work Schedule

• Days: Monday through Friday
• Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm with a required 30-minute break
• Additional Hours: Occasionally work later events, up to 7 or 8pm, 3-4 times per year.
