DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure press settings correspond with press specifications (e.g. time, temperature, bumps, and pressure).

Ensure correct preps of rubber have been brought to the press and that they haven’t expired.

Check flash thickness twice per shift and log into c-chart.

Press process sheets must be followed on how to spray and load molds.

Use various types of compression molding processes which include Drop Jig, Slide Jig, and ID/OD Jig loading in addition to the hand loading of preforms to the mold cavities.

Inspect and identify defects.

Keep work area clean and mold platens free of any stray O-rings when stripping molds, production reporting accuracy.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school graduate or equivalent in work related experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

Requires the use of basic English grammar and arithmetic (addition, subtraction, and carrying out instruction.) 2nd and 3rd shift

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work environment consists of manufacturing area which may have exposure to noise, varying temperatures, smells and chemicals.

Work near moving mechanical parts for 2/3 or all the time.

Exposed for fumes or airborne particles.

Loud noise levels 2/3 or all the time
