Print shop Assistant
Job Description
Job Summary:
As a Print shop Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our in-house print production facility. Reporting to the Print Shop Supervisor, you will contribute to the efficient creation and delivery of high-quality printed materials that support our advocacy efforts and member services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain printing equipment, such as digital presses, copiers, and bindery machines
- Assist with the preparation and processing of print jobs, including tasks like cutting, folding, and collating
- Perform basic troubleshooting and minor maintenance on printing equipment
- Ensure the print shop adheres to quality control standards and safety protocols
- Collaborate with the print shop team to optimize workflows and identify opportunities for improvement
- Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders, responding to inquiries and addressing concerns
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in a print production or customer service role (preferred)
- Proficient in the use of common printing equipment and software
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
