Production Operator

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 am–2:30 pm or 7:00 am–3:30 pm
 
Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Production Operator to support daily manufacturing operations, part preparation, and quality inspection activities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, staying active throughout the day, and following clear processes to ensure high-quality output.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
  • Operate multiple basic production machines and/or a single complex machine according to work order requirements.
  • Make routine machine adjustments; notify appropriate personnel when additional support is needed.
  • Use calipers and other handheld measuring devices to verify product specifications.
  • Perform a visual inspection of parts to identify defects or non-conforming materials.
  • Wash, dry, and prepare parts for the lab room as needed.
  • Handle, load, unload, and stack parts throughout the production process.
  • Transfer parts to the next step using computer software.
  • Package finished products according to the customer's quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including machines, tools, and equipment.
  • Follow proper PPE requirements at all times.
  • Assist in training new operators on standard processes and procedures.
 
Qualifications
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Able to read and interpret standard and metric measurements.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, drop gauges, and other measuring tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Ability to identify product quality deficiencies and communicate issues promptly.
  • Comfortable standing for the entire shift and performing repetitive, hands-on tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
