Production Associate
Job Description
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 am–2:30 pm or 7:00 am–3:30 pm
- Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
- Operate multiple basic production machines and/or a single complex machine according to work order requirements.
- Make routine machine adjustments; notify appropriate personnel when additional support is needed.
- Use calipers and other handheld measuring devices to verify product specifications.
- Perform a visual inspection of parts to identify defects or non-conforming materials.
- Wash, dry, and prepare parts for the lab room as needed.
- Handle, load, unload, and stack parts throughout the production process.
- Transfer parts to the next step using computer software.
- Package finished products according to the customer's quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including machines, tools, and equipment.
- Follow proper PPE requirements at all times.
- Assist in training new operators on standard processes and procedures.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Able to read and interpret standard and metric measurements.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, drop gauges, and other measuring tools.
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
- Ability to identify product quality deficiencies and communicate issues promptly.
- Comfortable standing for the entire shift and performing repetitive, hands-on tasks.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
