Job Description

 Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Operate composite presses and forming equipment to make prototype and low-volume parts.
• Assist in product documentation by recording laminate and process information during the product development and prototyping.
• Send testing samples to outside laboratories as required.
• Support in quality control of parts.
• Assist in establishing tooling requirements for prototyping parts.
• Perform routine calculations using given formulas via a calculator and or computer applications (MS Excel spreadsheets or similar);
• Maintain accurate records of all testing performed as well as test samples when required
• Report maintenance needs to for prototyping and production equipment and tooling.
• Follow manager verbal instructions
• Regularly establish laboratory consumables needs and relate them to operation and/or purchasing, so lab work is not delayed due to consumables
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed to assist overall product development goals.
• Operate all production and prototyping equipment as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, perform regular housekeeping duties.
• Responsible for compliance with all company and departmental safety policies.
• Perform supervised, controlled experiments to improve procedures, document changes and revise procedures.
