Job Description

As a Production Machinist, you will perform all basic set-ups and all machining functions associated with the machinery in the Micro Finishing Department including centerless grinding machines and speed lathes. The Production Machinist also performs special operation of extrude, hone, and lapidary equipment, as well as bench type operations such as polishing, and other assembly operations of a more complicated nature. The Production Machinist will be responsible for reading blueprints and using measuring instruments (micrometers, verniers, etc.) to verify the dimensions of the produced part to the blueprint.

 

Pay starts at $22.45, depending on experience, plus a 10% shift differential for 2nd shift.  We have openings on 1st shift and 2nd shift.

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications 

  • Vocational, trade, or high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must be able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
  • Working knowledge of shop math and computer basics
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
