Production Team Leader
Job Description
We are a growing manufacturing company committed to safety, quality, and on-time delivery. We’re looking for an experienced Production Team Lead to help drive daily operations, resolve challenges, and ensure our production teams meet customer needs.
As a Production Team Lead, you will coordinate and prioritize daily production activities, working closely with the Production Supervisor to manage workflow, identify and solve bottlenecks, and keep operations on track to meet customer requirements and company goals. The Production Team Lead will also help the team achieve incentive metrics such as safety, efficiency, and productivity.
- Lead and coordinate daily production activities to meet safety, quality, output, and on-time delivery goals
- Identify and resolve material/capacity issues, including expediting and escalating as needed
- Ensure correct BOM usage, labeling, and ERP transactions for all production activity
- Achieve cycle count accuracy goals and maintain proper inventory tracking
- Lead daily production meetings and publish performance metrics
- Assist with training, coaching, and performance reviews for production staff
- Use continuous improvement tools to resolve issues and enhance processes
- Support engineering with prototypes and special projects for new product development
- 5–10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with leadership or team lead responsibilities
- 1–3 years’ hands-on experience with PCB soldering and conformal coating machines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and team leadership skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); inventory management software (Mapics a plus)
- Knowledge of lean practices and continuous improvement tools
- High school diploma/GED required; advanced training or certifications a plus
