Job Description

Position Summary

The Production and Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling products, operating production equipment, performing quality checks, and supporting manufacturing operations to ensure products meet company standards for quality, safety, and efficiency. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to work instructions, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble products and components according to work instructions, blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Operate production machinery, hand tools, and assembly equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect parts and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Identify and report defects, equipment malfunctions, and process issues to supervisors.
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
  • Package finished goods according to company and customer requirements.
  • Follow all safety procedures, policies, and manufacturing regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment using 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Assist with inventory management, material handling, and replenishment of production supplies.
  • Meet daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve productivity and process efficiency.
  • Participate in training programs and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, or warehouse experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and technical documentation.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
