 Program Finance Analyst
Location: Lynchburg, VA
Pay Rate: $35 – $38 per hour
Job Type: Contract / Full-time
About the Role:
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Program Finance Analyst to join our finance team in Lynchburg. You’ll support programs ranging from $1M to $30M by analyzing costs, cash flow, and change orders. Working closely with program managers, engineers, and leadership, you’ll provide financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to help drive program success in a fast-paced office environment.
What You’ll Do:
  • Manage and control budgets for complex, large-scale programs
  • Conduct financial analysis and support program management decisions
  • Perform month-end close tasks, including journal entries and reconciliations
  • Forecast revenue and costs monthly, analyzing variances and trends
  • Prepare reports in Hyperion and SAP and present findings to management
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2+ years’ experience in program finance or related financial analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas)
  • Proven ability to analyze cost variance (actuals vs. forecast)
  • Strong communication skills and comfort interacting with all levels of management
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SAP and/or Hyperion reporting systems
  • Background in government, aerospace, or defense program finance
