QC Technician
Job Description
- Testing & Inspection: Perform routine quantitative and qualitative tests (consistency, pH, texture) on soups and sauces prior to packaging.
- Quality Standards: Assist in setting sensory and appearance benchmarks for new and existing products.
- Documentation: Maintain precise digital records of all test results and non-conformance issues.
- Issue Resolution: Identify out-of-compliance products, communicate findings to supervisors, and assist in root cause analysis.
- Collaboration: Partner with R&D and Production teams to improve consistency and implement quality enhancements.
- Experience: Previous QA/QC experience in the food industry (specifically soups/sauces) is highly preferred.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with food safety standards (HACCP, SQF) is a plus.
- Skills: High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Language: Must be fluent in English; Spanish bilingual skills are a strong plus.
- Education: High school diploma required; degree in Food Science or Culinary Arts preferred.
- Must be able to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a production environment with temperature changes and machinery noise (ear protection provided).
