Quality Assurance Technician in Lincoln, RI 

The Quality Assurance 

 Technician is responsible for verifying quality of incoming materials, including raw and packaging material, and performing the pre-flight quality inspection at the beginning of the shift with Production, Engineering and Sanitation Departments, working as a team to resolve quality issues. The Quality Assurance Technician follows procedure to ensure all quality measures are performed and all non-conformances are inspected, corrected, and findings documented and communicated to appropriate parties. 

The Quality Assurance Technician will also check and record finished products for daily performance evaluation against specifications, monitor ingredient storage in warehouse for proper rotation and usage of materials, and perform weekly audits to ensure systems and policy compliance including GMPs, line audits, and formula compliance. In addition, the Quality Assurance Technician monitors all aspects of the Allergen Program awareness, including segregation of any materials to prevent cross contamination. 

Requirements: 

• Demonstrated understanding of food safety and product quality systems 
• Ability to work and make decisions with a minimum of supervision 
• Proficiency with computer software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook 

• Effective communication skills, both written and oral; bilingual preferred 
• Able to work in extreme temperatures (>90 degrees F) 
• Effective problem-solving capabilities 

We offer $20.00 per hour, operating on 2nd shift 4:00pm-12:00am, Wednesday-Saturday and Monday (Tuesday and Sunday off). Must be able to work flexible hours based on project and business demands.
