Harvey Windows & Doors is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Technician to join our dynamic team. In this high-exposure role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Inspection Excellence: Conduct thorough inspections of manufactured materials to ensure adherence to company quality standards.
  • Team Training: Train manufacturing personnel to uphold and exceed quality standards, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with teams to define and implement robust process controls and error-proofing solutions, ensuring products consistently meet specifications and performance standards.
  • Problem Solving: Investigate nonconforming materials, determine root causes, and present findings to vendors and production lines, driving continuous improvement.
  • Production Support: Spend over 80% of your time in production areas, working independently to support daily activities and address quality concerns.
  • Flexible Duties: Undertake additional duties as required to support the quality assurance function.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • 2 – 5 years of quality/mfg experience in a non-electronics setting.
  • Proficiency with measuring equipment (Tape Measure, Calipers, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of inspection equipment, technical drawings, quality systems, and tolerances.
  • Strong aptitude in process improvement and problem-solving.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently.
  • Keen eye for detail to visually inspect and distinguish between conforming and nonconforming parts.
  • Decisive and able to support decisions with clear documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with team members, customers, and vendors.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage stressful situations.
  • Efficient task prioritization to meet deadlines.
  • Competency in mathematical calculations as necessary.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing and process capability preferred.
  • Familiarity with window quality specifications and home construction is a plus.
  • BG/DT Required
