SUMMARY
Responsibilities: 
We are seeking a Quality Control Technician to coordinate product assurance procedures and activities on-site at its manufacturing facility, and ensure product compliance. The Quality Control Technician applies strong knowledge of Quality Control and quality management systems (QMS) to develop or improve internal processes and customer products. S/he is instrumental in supporting the business to ensure it meets internal, customer and regulatory quality requirements.
Qualifications:
  1. AS/BS in technical field preferred; High School Diploma or Equivalent accepted with 5+ years of experience
  2. 2+ Years in Quality Control; 
  3. Familiarity with Aerospace regulatory standards preferred
  4. Technical proficiency with inspection & test equipment
  5. Knowledge of GD&T principles
  6. Ability to occasionally lift 40 lbs is required
  7. Must be a U.S. Citizen 
 
Skills/Aptitudes: 
  1. Quality Control Methodologies
  2. Analytical & Problem-Solving Abilities
  3. Strong attention to detail and ability to focus for long periods of time. 
  4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work instructions Software
  5. Proficiency (e.g. MS Suite, Inspection & ERP systems) 
  6. Mechanical aptitude & Basic Shop Math Skills
  7. Ability to Work Collaboratively within all Levels of the Organization
  8. Excellent Organizational Skills
  9. Effective Communication
  10. Ability to work Independently
  11. Sitting for long periods of time
  12. Any experience with DISCUS or KEYENCE software helpful, not required
 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Perform incoming (receiving inspection), in-process and final product inspections 
  2. Use pre-determined methods, operations, set-ups and prescribed specifications to inspect visually and dimensionally manufactured parts. 
  3. Use of various inspection tools and devices; including but not limited to hand tools and CMM capabilities. 
  4. Create Non-conforming (NCMR) tags using product against product/process requirements/procedures
  5. Ensure NCMR Log is Current
  6. Verify Calibration of area tools. 
  7. Ensure product and related paperwork meets blueprint, customer spec and/or P.O. requirements
  8. Participate in FAI documentation requirements
  9. Participate in creation and edits of manufacturing work instruction and inspection method sheets 
  10. Participate in internal and external audits as required
  11. Communicates issues or Opportunities for Improvement (OFI) identified during quality activities and provide recommended process improvements
  12. Comply with all company policy and procedures including safety requirements
  13. Other duties as assigned
