Job Summary
The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products meet established standards of quality, reliability, and performance. This role involves inspecting materials, components, and finished products, identifying defects, documenting findings, and collaborating with production teams to maintain compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform in-process and final inspections of products and materials.
  • Measure dimensions and verify specifications using appropriate tools and equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Identify and document defects, nonconformities, and deviations from standards.
  • Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality records.
  • Communicate quality issues to supervisors and production teams.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company quality policies.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree or technical certification preferred).
  • Proven experience in quality inspection or a related manufacturing role.
  • Familiarity with ISO or industry-specific quality standards preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.

  • Knowledge of quality control procedures and testing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using measurement and inspection tools.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing or production floor environment.
  • Standing for extended periods may be required.
  • May involve lifting up to [XX] pounds.
