RF Calibration & Assembly Tech
Job Description
Pay Rate: $25 – $30 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: 9/80 – Monday–Thursday 7:00 AM–4:30 PM; Every other Friday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
- Perform a variety of mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies, subassemblies, and end products.
- Conduct RF calibration and testing of equipment including signal generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and power meters.
- Calibrate and maintain temperature and humidity instruments to ensure system accuracy and reliability.
- Utilize microscopes and hand tools (soldering irons, pliers, wrenches, etc.) to assemble and inspect components to precise tolerances.
- Read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and Bills of Material (BOMs).
- Troubleshoot and repair RF/Digital circuits to the component level using strong electrical theory knowledge.
- Follow established assembly processes and engineering instructions with a focus on quality and safety.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through the L3Harris E3 process.
- Occasionally travel to nearby campuses to perform calibration or testing on equipment that cannot be moved.
- U.S. Citizenship (ability to obtain a Secret Clearance).
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; or an Associate Degree with at least 2 years of experience.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and comfort working under a microscope.
- Solid understanding of electronic theory, analog/digital circuitry, and RF transmission/receiver systems.
- Proficient with test equipment such as signal generators, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.
- Must have reliable transportation and consistently arrive to work on time.
- Able to lift up to 30 lbs and move across the production floor as needed.
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- 8+ years of prior relevant experience or an Associate Degree with 4 years of experience.
- Certifications such as J-STD-001 or IPC-610.
- Experience with mechanical or electrical assembly, including soldering.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
