Racker – 2nd Shift
Location: Lawrence, MA
Pay Rate: $17 per hour
Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM, Monday–Friday
Position Summary
The Racker is responsible for preparing parts for processing by properly racking, wiring, or clipping components according to specifications. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient workflow, quality processing, and adherence to safety and environmental guidelines in a manufacturing environment.
Essential Functions
  • Determine job priorities and prepare parts for processing accordingly
  • Select appropriate racking procedures based on size, shape, and quantity of parts
  • Wire or clip parts to racks or hoists for processing
  • Remove parts from racks or bars after processing is complete
  • Complete required paperwork in accordance with company and processing guidelines
  • Ensure proper PPE is worn and all safety procedures are followed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area by disposing of excess wires, materials, and trash
  • Ensure hazardous waste materials are handled and disposed of properly
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills & Abilities
Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Experience:
  • No prior experience required; training provided
Physical Requirements
  • Near and distance vision
  • Ability to hear average conversations
  • Manual dexterity and sense of touch
  • Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing/shop environment
  • Exposure to elevated temperatures, occasionally exceeding 100°F
