Position summary: Provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. The receptionist will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate associates, mail distribution, flow of correspondence, requisition of supplies as well as additional clerical duties. Assist in the continued improvement of the Safety and Quality System.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Act in a supporting role resource for Human Resources, Customer Service and Operations in handling and managing specified projects and tasks
  • Answer all incoming calls, provides callers with information such as company address, directions to the company location, company fax numbers, company website and other related information
  • Assist in organizing meetings, trainings, appointments and company events
  • Assist various departments with projects on an as needed basis
  • Assists in the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies
  • Assists Quality Control Specialist with controlled documents
  • Assists with other related clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing and collating
  • Coordinates lunches with catering vendor
  • Greets and directs visitors to the company
  • Handle UPS mailings for HR
  • Receives, sorts and forwards incoming mail
  • Maintains security by following procedures; monitoring logbook; issuing visitor badges.
  • Follow all documented Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Must follow all company policies and procedures
  • Maintain product safety, legality, regulatory compliance and quality systems
  • Report any potential food safety, quality of food defense concerns to the plant manager or quality personnel
