Reliability and Safety Engineer
Job Description
We’re seeking a talented Reliability & Safety Engineer to join a team that designs and develops advanced electronic and electro-mechanical systems. - Develop and execute reliability and safety plans and procedures.
- Perform analyses including stress analysis, FMECA, reliability predictions, fault tree, and hazard analyses.
- Support FRACAS activities: track failures, assist with root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
- Partner with design engineers on new product development and modifications.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to internal teams and customers.
- Manage multiple projects through development and production stages.
- Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering + 4 years’ experience
- OR Master’s degree + 2 years’ experience
- OR 8+ years directly related experience in lieu of a degree
- Required Experience:
- Hands-on with electrical stress/derating analysis, FMECA (MIL-STD-1629A), reliability predictions (MIL-STD-785, MIL-HDBK-217, MIL-HDBK-1547A), fault tree (IEC 61025 / NUREG-0492), and hazard analysis (MIL-STD-882)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Aerospace/defense or government program background
- Preferred:
- U.S. Security Clearance eligibility
- Familiarity with tools like PTC Windchill Quality Solutions, Relyence, or similar
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and knowledge of Environmental Stress Screening (MIL-HDBK-344A)
- Office/Cubicle: ~70%
- Production floor/lab: ~30%
