Safety Coordinator
Job Description
1.Conduct plant safety audits, plant walk through, safety spot checks related to PPE, Safety Policies and Procedures.
2.Assist in plant safety, health and environment programs as needed (may require additional training).
3.Conduct plant safety training when required (e.g., Alchemy).
4.Must be able to handle any type of accident that occurs at the facility and may also help with personal medical issues (may require additional training).
5.Working knowledge and understanding of recordable and non-recordable injuries, near-miss incidents, and solutions for prevention (may require additional training).
6.Maintain or become a First Aid, CPR, BBP and AED certified first responder.
7.Must work aligned as a team partner with HR and the Safety Department.
8.Must champion Safety by setting an example and communicating with all levels of employees.
9.Must keep all Safety related medical documents private and secured in a locked room or cabinet.
10.Will be primary contact for a local Safety Committee.
11.Assist with plant safety, health, and workers compensation compliance; manage, review and email all accident and incident reports to Safety.
12.Follow and enforce any, and all additional duties as assigned, including but not limited to continuous improvement through approved classes and seminars related to the safety and security profession and personal growth.
13.Maintain a clean and safe work area
14.Assist in controlling waste
15.Must meet all established standards
16.Must follow all company policies and procedures
17.Must meet attendance requirements as attendance is crucial to position
18.Follow and enforce all GMP and PPE procedures and requirements
19.Follow and enforce all safety rules and regulations and requirements
20.Follow and enforce all additional duties or responsibilities assigned by Production Supervisor.
